Description
The Buhck Foundation supports non-profit projects implemented in Hamburg-Bergedorf, the Stormarn district, or the Duchy of Lauenburg that specifically promote environmental education or the social integration of young people with a migration background. With a focus on sustainable development, equal opportunities, and social added value, it initiates and supports local actions that provide children and adolescents with impulses for responsible interaction with nature while simultaneously fostering the participation of newly arrived youth. Grants of up to €5,000 are available during the idea phase, implementation, or as follow-up funding – in exceptional cases even beyond – to enable innovative concepts in the fields of education, environmental and nature conservation, research & innovation, as well as vocational training and further education.
Eligible to apply are initiatives, associations, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions that have a non-profit statute and implement their project within the specified funding regions. A prerequisite for funding is a concise project description with a financing plan and a current tax exemption certificate, as well as compliance with the Buhck Foundation’s guidelines. Awards are made continuously through a standardized procedure and are evaluated based on relevance to the funding focus, sustainability of the measure, and societal benefit. Online applications or submissions via PDF are possible at any time – there are no fixed deadlines. The foundation provides advisory support on funding strategy questions if needed and assists in preparing the documents to create an optimal basis for decision-making.
