Description
Federal Elderly Plan: The nationwide open grant program of the Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Seniors, Women and Youth is aimed at non-profit club structures and interest groups engaged in senior citizen policy. The goal is to promote projects that enable older people to participate independently and equally in social life. Funding is provided particularly to senior citizen associations and organizations active nationwide, as well as to model projects for the development, testing, and further development of innovative concepts. Additionally, the funding spectrum includes co-financing of EU projects as well as international initiatives in favor of older people.
The grant is provided as a subsidy and is based on the respective funding measure. Eligible to apply are clubs and associations with independent management and use of funds, which actively work on senior policy issues according to their statutes or regulations. A prerequisite for approval is that the project has not yet started. Applications must be submitted no later than 12 weeks before the project start. By offering continuous funding opportunities, the Federal Elderly Plan provides a reliable basis for planning and implementing sustainable measures in the social sector that strengthen older people in their living environment and promote social participation.
