Description
The federal funding for energy consulting of residential buildings supports owners, tenants, leaseholders, and usufructuaries nationwide in assessing their residential properties and planning energy-efficient modernizations. Qualified experts determine the current condition and create an individual renovation roadmap (iSFP), which outlines measures to reduce primary energy demand and CO₂ emissions. The funding covers 80% of the consulting fee, up to a maximum of €1,300 for single- and two-family houses and €1,700 for multi-family houses. Homeowners' associations additionally receive €500 for the explanation of the iSFP in an owners' meeting. Prerequisites for application are registration in the BAFA portal, submission of the application before the start of the consultation, and proof of a consultant number from the Energy Efficiency Experts List.
Eligible for funding are the consulting fee, the creation of the iSFP, and the explanation of the results; construction measures or the building energy certificate are not eligible for funding. The requested funds are disbursed after verification of the proof of use, with continuous applications possible. The goal is a noticeable increase in the energy efficiency of existing residential buildings in line with climate protection objectives. With professional support from authorized experts, a reliable basis for economic investment decisions is created, which minimizes energy costs and the CO₂ footprint in the long term. Interested applicants only need the completed application form in the BAFA portal, if applicable a power of attorney, and the consultant number of the advising person.
