Description
Federal Funding for Energy and Resource Efficiency in the Economy (Loan) – Module 4 Basic Funding is available nationwide to all companies, public institutions, and non-profit organizations. It enables investments in the energy- and resource-related optimization of plants and processes through low-interest KfW loans with a repayment subsidy. With a funding rate of 100 % and loan amounts up to €100 million per project, both the acquisition of highly efficient technologies and necessary ancillary costs are covered. The goal is the sustainable increase of energy and resource efficiency as well as the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions; applications can be submitted until December 31, 2028.
Eligible for funding are commercial enterprises of all sizes, municipal and state-owned companies, self-employed professionals, as well as economically active non-profit applicants based in Germany. A prerequisite is the submission of the application before the start of the measures and the confirmation of energy savings by an energy efficiency expert. Among others, investments in energy-efficient plants and technologies, measurement, control and regulation technology, sensor technology and energy management software, process heat supply from renewable energies, industrial trucks, optimizations of biogas plants and injection molding machines are funded. Required for submission are, among others, the commercial confirmation for the application, the data collection sheet for process heat, a simplified self-declaration for SMEs, as well as a De-minimis declaration.
