Description

The Federal Funding for Full-Day School Forms – Infrastructure of Styria supports public and privately maintained schools with public law status in the expansion and maintenance of the structural and personnel equipment of full-day school forms. From 01.09.2019 to 31.12.2033, purpose-specific grants amounting to 70% of eligible expenses are available annually through a call procedure. Funding is provided particularly for infrastructural measures (e.g., adaptation of rooms for play, sports, and learning support, establishment of catering areas, barrier-free access) as well as personnel costs in leisure and holiday care. Operating costs (electricity, heating, telephone), retroactive expenses, and administrative infrastructure are excluded from funding. Eligible for funding are all locations where full-day school forms are operated according to § 8 SchOG and which are located in the federal state of Styria.

For the application, the following must be submitted in the annual call: a properly completed application, a needs-based expansion plan, proof of group numbers, a detailed cost breakdown, and the guideline for the Education Investment Act. Selection is based on clear fulfillment of funding requirements, needs-based expansion, quality of infrastructure, and qualification of the personnel deployed. The objective of the measure is the comprehensive provision of school day care for 40% of 6–15-year-olds and at 85% of compulsory school locations. The funding offers school maintainers in Styria the opportunity to sustainably further develop their full-day school offerings and thereby strengthen the compatibility of family and career.
