Description
The Federal Volunteer Service at the Comundialis Foundation in Cologne offers committed individuals of all ages the opportunity to engage in environmental and nature conservation as well as education for sustainable development. Participants support educational and public relations work in local and global projects to raise awareness of issues such as climate and resource protection. The office in the Rhineland serves as the place of assignment, complemented by cooperation with partner organizations in the “Global South.” The foundation promotes a practice-oriented learning environment where basic knowledge of office applications, the internet, and social media, as well as creativity and attention to detail, are required. A fair monthly allowance and a VRS ticket provide a solid financial basis during the twelve-month service; volunteers over 27 years of age have the option of part-time work (from 20.5 hours per week).
We are seeking individuals with enthusiasm for modern media, reliability, and the ability to work independently. Motivation and initial experience in youth and adult education, journalism, or multimedia are advantageous but can be deepened during the service. The Comundialis Foundation places particular emphasis on professional supervision by experienced mentors who offer individual opportunities for further training and development. Interested parties can apply continuously – the complete application documents include a cover letter and a CV. Thus, the program is equally aimed at university entrants, young professionals seeking reorientation, and young-at-heart retirees who wish to perform meaningful service. This funding contributes to strengthening civil society structures and promoting global environmental awareness.
