Description

The Werner Pfetzing Foundation Himmelsfels supports choir retreats at the historic Spangenberg Castle and is aimed at non-profit organizations, clubs, or interest groups from Hesse. Cultural and music projects are supported as well as continuing education initiatives for singing groups. Under the guidance of the experienced instructor Njeri Weth, participants experience an intensive creative exchange in the picturesque castle complex, ranging from voice training workshops to joint ensemble rehearsals. A multi-day program lasting between 1 and 7 days combines musical inspiration with practical instruction and strengthens both the artistic quality and cohesion within the choir. Supervision by an experienced on-site team ensures smooth organization and a tailored schedule that meets the needs of each group.

Interested choirs and vocal ensembles of any size can submit their inquiries year-round via a form. Pricing is flexible depending on group size and desired duration, allowing especially larger ensembles to benefit from cost-effective conditions. In addition to accommodation options in historic buildings, Spangenberg Castle offers an inspiring environment for cultural exchange and professional development. The aim of the funding is to provide new impulses for the regional cultural landscape and to promote diverse exchange among musically engaged individuals. Through the ongoing funding opportunity, an attractive offer is created for choir directors, singers, and club representatives who wish to realize their vision of communal music-making in a historic atmosphere.
