Eligible applicants include both educational institutions and private individuals residing or conducting research in Germany. A completed doctorate or an ongoing dissertation in the field of cystic fibrosis is required, along with the submission of a detailed project description, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a financing plan. The funding is specifically intended to strengthen early-career researchers and sustainably improve the quality of care for those affected. The official call for applications and the applicant information sheet are published each late autumn. With this funding award, the Christiane Herzog Foundation sends a strong signal for the advancement of cystic fibrosis research in Germany.
