Description
In Hamburg, the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e. V. supports individuals from science, research, and innovation on a non-material basis through the CRoSS Fellowship. The program addresses researchers from a wide range of disciplines who wish to develop joint responses to pressing contemporary issues in collaborative and transdisciplinary settings. It creates synergies between science, industry, and civil society actors to design innovative formats and demonstrate their effectiveness. The award focuses on networking, professional development, and expert exchange, supporting participants in expanding existing communication channels and actively building bridges between specialized research approaches and societal dialogue.
The central goal is to strengthen society’s trust in science. The selected fellows work productively with organized groups and develop model projects, for example in networked mobility, sustainable energy supply, or health research. Their commitment contributes to directing research more closely toward public needs and promoting participation as well as transparent communication. The funding is long-term with fixed deadlines and offers ongoing application opportunities for interested parties from all disciplines. Further details on participation requirements and the application process are available on the Stifterverband’s website.
