Description
The permanent funding is aimed at employees working in agriculture and forestry in Salzburg who can demonstrate LAK membership for at least 24 months within the last 36 months or at least 12 consecutive months. The goal is to strengthen the economic and social situation of this target group as well as to secure the population density in rural areas. Measures to create and improve housing, owner-occupied home construction, extensive renovations, and infrastructural developments such as sewer connections, water supply, electrification, or access roads are supported. Grants and interest-free loans cover up to 80% of the verifiable costs up to specified maximum amounts. Additionally, interest-free loans for the purchase of furniture can be obtained when establishing an independent household.
A prerequisite for applying is a fully completed application including income proofs, invoices or cost estimates, building plans, construction descriptions, and cost and financing plans. For loans exceeding €2,500, a bank guarantee must be provided; otherwise, a blank promissory note with joint liability of a family member is required. The obligation to remain employed full-time in the agricultural and forestry sector during the repayment period is binding, as is compliance with the LAK guidelines for agricultural worker home construction. Disbursement takes place after approval and proof of construction progress or submission of all documents. Since funding is granted continuously without time restrictions, applications can be submitted at any time; however, household establishment loans must be applied for no later than 36 months after marriage.
