Loans and Grants for Housing Provision for Agricultural and Forestry Employees

The Salzburg Chamber of Agricultural Workers offers interest-free loans as well as investment grants to agricultural and forestry employees in the state of Salzburg for the creation, modernization, and infrastructural development of housing. The aim of this funding is to improve the economic and social situation of the workforce in rural areas and to ensure the long-term maintenance of population density. Private individuals employed as workers in agriculture and forestry who have their main residence in Salzburg can benefit from this program. The support covers measures such as housing creation, renovation, and environmental projects (e.g., photovoltaics), as well as household establishment and renewal loans, including driving license subsidies for young members. The funding rate amounts to up to 85% of eligible expenses.

Applications are accepted continuously without a fixed deadline and require compliance with the guidelines of the state of Salzburg. For disbursement, the following documents must be submitted: signed loan documents, creditworthiness check, submission of the original bank guarantee, and a final proof of use. The investment grants are paid out in stages according to construction progress – up to 85% upon completion of the shell construction and the remainder upon readiness for occupancy. Income and document checks as well as on-site and random inspections ensure the proper use of funds.
