The Pediatric Medicine Day – Foundation "The Health Workers – Future Responsibility Health"

The Children's Medicine Day of the foundation "Die Gesundarbeiter – Zukunftsverantwortung Gesundheit" is aimed at primary schools in the Villingen-Schwenningen area and conveys essential knowledge about anatomy, the circulatory system, hygiene, and first aid in a playful manner. In interactive exercises, students in grades 3 and 4 (adaptable for grades 1/2 and 5) explore the structure of the body, learn how the heart pumps blood through the organism, and discover through an experiment how pathogens are transmitted and how thorough hygiene protects. The practice-oriented structure not only promotes health literacy but also strengthens the self-confidence and personal responsibility of young people when it comes to providing first aid in emergencies.

The program is available as a full-day event lasting four hours or as a compact format in two modules of two hours each and takes place regionally in the Villingen-Schwenningen area. As a subsidy measure for non-profit and public educational institutions, the foundation supports preparation and implementation so that multipliers such as teachers and educators benefit from educationally valuable materials and methodological support.
