Description

The Deutschlandstipendium in Saarland, coordinated by the StudienStiftungSaar, supports talented and committed students at Saarland universities with a monthly grant of €300 over a period of twelve months. The aim of the funding measure is to strengthen academic success, recognize social engagement, and promote talents. The funds are provided equally by the federal government and private sponsors, thereby creating a sustainable scholarship network. Through non-material offerings such as networking events and workshops, the program opens valuable contacts between scholarship holders and potential employers and provides insights into the regional economic landscape. The funding is income-independent and does not affect BAföG benefits; however, concurrent funding through other merit-based scholarships is excluded.

Eligible to participate are all students enrolled at one of the Saarland universities (University of Saarland, HBKsaar, HfM Saar, htw saar, DHfPG) or who will enroll for the winter semester 2025/26. Outstanding academic achievements or proven social engagement as well as proof of university entrance qualification are required. Evaluation is based on academic records, engagement profile, and personal background. Applications are expected to be submitted from June 15, 2025, via the central application portal of the StudienStiftungSaar; deadlines vary depending on the university. Required documents include a CV, motivation letter, academic transcript, university entrance qualification, and, if applicable, additional certificates. Complete and timely submission is a prerequisite for consideration in the selection process.
