Description

The DIGI grant supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as freelancers with a place of business in Hesse in the digital transformation of their production and work processes, as well as in strengthening IT security. For the funding year 2026, grants of up to 50 percent of eligible expenses, with a maximum of 10,000 euros per application, are available. Investments in ICT hardware and software for the automation of processes, implementation of security solutions, data migration and porting, as well as accompanying external training, are funded. A prerequisite for funding is that the project has not yet started and is fully implemented and settled by 30.11.2026. The application deadline is 30.11.2026, whereby re-registration in the WIBank customer portal is required if applications were submitted in the previous year but were not considered.

Interested companies can register at any time in the WIBank customer portal and complete the online application form. The selection of funded projects is carried out by a random selection procedure if demand exceeds the budget. The application must include the completed application form, proof of SME status (SME information sheet), details of the investment volume, and a De-minimis declaration. There is no legal entitlement to a grant. After successful registration, participation in the random selection procedure is automatically enabled. A detailed guide on the process in the customer portal as well as the information sheet on the funding program are available for download in the portal. The DIGI grant thus makes an important contribution to strengthening the competitiveness of Hessian companies in an increasingly digitalized economy.
