Description
The Digitalbonus Bavaria grants small and medium-sized enterprises in the commercial sector based in Bavaria a non-repayable subsidy for investments in digital technologies and IT security. Funding is provided, among other things, for the acquisition and implementation of ICT hardware and software, the migration and porting of existing IT systems, as well as the introduction or optimization of IT security measures. With a duration until December 31, 2027, the program particularly supports projects with genuine added value for digital transformation, thereby strengthening the innovative capacity of Bavarian companies. By targeting SMEs according to the EU definition, it specifically addresses those areas where time and resource constraints hinder the implementation of digital projects.
The funding is provided as a grant covering up to 50% of eligible expenses, but no more than EUR 50,000. A minimum volume of eligible investments of EUR 4,000 applies per application. Standard online marketing measures, standard websites or webshops, as well as conventional office software and standard hardware are excluded. A prerequisite for funding is that the project has not yet started before the measure confirmation and that the application is submitted electronically via the designated online form. A limited quota is released monthly, so applications should be submitted promptly. Submission must be made by December 31, 2027, at the latest, supplemented by the signed application confirmation following the electronic approval.
