Digital Bonus Bavaria

The Digitalbonus.Bayern is aimed at small and medium-sized commercial enterprises with headquarters and business operations in Bavaria and seeks to support digital transformation across all areas of the company. As part of the "Bayern Digital" initiative, the program promotes investments in hardware and software, the digitization of processes and services, as well as IT security measures. Additionally, technological innovations such as robotics and artificial intelligence are specifically supported to sustainably strengthen the competitiveness and future viability of small and medium-sized enterprises.

A valid ELSTER business account is required to submit an application; the electronic application can be submitted until December 31, 2027, with a fixed monthly quota available. Funding is provided to companies recognized as micro, small, or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) according to the EU definition. Funding prerequisites include proof of a Bavarian company headquarters and compliance with SME criteria. The grant can cover expenses for process digitization, service digitization, IT security measures, as well as the integration of robotics and AI. The processing is carried out entirely digitally via ELSTER. The program aims to accelerate the digitization of small businesses and make technological innovations practically accessible. Through the time-limited funding until the end of 2027, companies receive reliable planning security for the implementation of forward-looking digitization projects.
