Description

The Jakob Kaiser Foundation e.V. offers a nationwide diverse program of digital learning opportunities and online seminars specifically targeting adolescents and young adults aged 16 and above. Within its training portfolio, three central formats are emphasized: The interactive training Einspruch. promotes civil courage and respect on social media by analyzing discriminatory statements and countering common prejudiced remarks. In the online seminar Weimar in View, participants learn about the complex history of the first German democracy and the former Buchenwald concentration camp through historical video sequences. The module “Join the Conversation and Get Involved!” strengthens rhetorical and argumentative skills across four consecutive units to enhance competence in digital debates. All events combine expert input with theater pedagogy methods, group exercises, and digitally provided worksheets, thereby imparting practical democratic action, media literacy, and historical awareness.

Participation is continuously possible; appointments are arranged individually. Access requirements include a stable internet connection as well as a webcam and microphone. Registration requires only the digital registration form, which is available for download at any time. As a recognized educational institution for political youth and adult education, the foundation aims to strengthen democratic participation and facilitate historical learning. Interested parties can find all further information on module content, procedures, and fees in the respective flyers available on the Jakob Kaiser Foundation e.V. website.
