Digitalization and Work 4.0: Promoting Progress

The Bremer Aufbau-Bank (BAB) supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the state of Bremen with the program Digitalization and Work 4.0 in the development and implementation of modern digitalization strategies. The goal is to support external consulting services for analyzing digitalization needs, designing innovative Industry 4.0 applications, and initiating prototype and testing projects. Eligible for funding are companies based in the state of Bremen that wish to optimize their work processes, IT security, big data applications, or cloud services. The continuously open application process allows project-based planning without fixed deadlines and offers a flexible entry point into digital transformation.

A grant of up to 50% of external consulting costs, up to a maximum of €5,000 per project, is funded. Only expenses for external consulting services related to digitalization and Work 4.0 are eligible. Combining multiple service providers within a project is possible to tailor competencies precisely. Before approval of funding, an informal application with the application form as well as a subsequent proof of use must be submitted. There is no legal entitlement to funding. Companies thus benefit from financial relief when integrating new digital business models, adapting workflows, and realizing initial prototype applications.
