Description
The District Grants funding program of Rotary District 1830 is aimed at all Rotary and Rotaract clubs in the Greater Stuttgart area (from Heidenheim to Pforzheim, Münsingen to Wertheim) as well as their non-profit project sponsors. Financial grants for local social and democracy promotion projects are provided through the District Designated Fund (DDF). A prerequisite for applying is membership in District 1830 as well as participation in the annual Foundation Seminar, which serves to qualify and inform about application procedures. Applications can be submitted continuously; the District Rotary Foundation Committee (DRFC), together with the Governor and the Grant Officers, decides on approval and disbursement and informs the clubs about the next steps.
The following documents are required for the application: a completed District Grant application, a detailed project description, and confirmation of participation in the Foundation Seminar. The award is granted as a direct subsidy to support projects in the areas of social issues, work, and social cohesion. Upon completion of the project, an audit procedure is conducted in which final reports are countersigned by the District Grant Officer before being submitted to the Rotary Foundation (TRF). The program specifically promotes non-profit initiatives that make a sustainable contribution to local development and democratic cohesion and supports clubs in fully leveraging their social potential.
