Dorit & Alexander Otto Foundation: General Funding

The Dorit & Alexander Otto Foundation offers continuous general funding for non-profit associations, initiatives, cultural institutions, and educational institutions based in Hamburg. Grants are awarded in the form of reimbursements for material costs and personnel cost reimbursements to initiate, implement, or establish projects long-term in the fields of education, health, arts & culture, religion & church, social services, as well as science & research. Both seed funding in the idea and concept phase as well as follow-up funding and permanent structural support are part of the service spectrum. The call explicitly targets organizations that wish to expand their structures, test innovative approaches, or professionally further develop existing offerings.

Applications are standardized and can be submitted at any time, as there are no fixed deadlines. The basis is the project funding application, which must be downloaded and completed from the Foundation’s website. Additionally, proof of non-profit status and a project description must be submitted. Award decisions are made after reviewing the funding request and compliance with the funding guidelines.
