Description

Since 2002, the Dr. Hildegard Dinter-Lutz Research Prize Foundation has been supporting outstanding early-career researchers in the field of brain tumor research and therapy. Each year, a research prize endowed with €5,000 is awarded, serving primarily as a travel grant to promote international networking and participation in scientific conferences. In addition to central neuro-oncology, related disciplines such as immunobiology of malignant tumors, virology, molecular and cell biology, medicinal plant research, as well as medical-technical developments may also be supported. Selection is based on the recommendation of the Society for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology (GPOH) and is guided by the scientific quality of the submitted work.

The funding award specifically targets early-career scientists who have already demonstrated outstanding research achievements in the field of brain tumor research. Applications are only possible within the framework of the respective published call documents, which are provided annually by the foundation. Evaluation is based on clearly defined criteria, including scientific excellence, originality, and relevance of the work. Interested researchers thus receive valuable recognition of their achievements and financial support to increase the international visibility of their research and to further advance clinical applications.
