Description
The Dr. Wolfgang Hevert Prize, awarded every two years, honors outstanding scientific study projects in the field of holistic and integrative medicine. With an endowed funding amount of €10,000, the Hevert Foundation is recognizing, for the first time as part of its 70th company anniversary, innovative approaches that combine basic research, clinical trials, or new therapy concepts. Eligible to participate are scientists and researchers at German university hospitals as well as other research institutions, provided the submitted project is not yet completed. Four criteria are evaluated with different weightings: innovation, originality, and sustainability of the topic (35%), methodological quality of the study design (35%), financial planning and resource allocation in the business plan (15%), and reputation and previous achievements of the applicants (15%). The official award ceremony will take place in November 2026 on the occasion of the Hevert Symposium for Naturopathy near Munich.
A successful application requires digital submission by July 31, 2026. Via an online form, a meaningful project outline as well as CV and scientific publications must be submitted. Important: The submitted project must not be completed at the time of submission. The jury, consisting of experts in naturopathy and clinical medicine, will make their decision after thorough analysis of all documents. The Dr. Wolfgang Hevert Prize offers not only financial support but also a platform to raise awareness of and sustainably promote pioneering research work in the field of integrative medicine in Germany.
