Printing cost subsidy (Study and Dissertation Program on Environmental Energy Law)

The Environmental Energy Law Foundation supports the final stage of every doctoral project in the field of environmental energy law with a printing cost subsidy. As part of the study and dissertation program, the foundation covers the due publishing costs for publication in the renowned “Schriften zum Umweltenergierecht” series by Nomos Verlag – minus a personal contribution of €1,500. The subsidy is aimed at doctoral candidates in law whose work has been awarded at least summa cum laude in a review process and who operate nationwide in the fields of science, research, and innovation in environmental energy law. Ongoing funding opportunities allow applications to be submitted at any time and provide financial relief for printing and publication expenses.

To apply, proof of the summa cum laude evaluation as well as the acceptance for publication in the series is sufficient. Selection is based on these criteria and ensures transparency and equal treatment of all applicants. The subsidy relieves editors and the publisher, while the scientific community benefits from broader access to excellent dissertations. This support makes a sustainable contribution to the dissemination of well-founded research in environmental energy law and strengthens the visibility of promising early-career researchers.
