Computer and Braille Instruction (Braille) – Frankfurt Foundation for the Blind and Visually Impaired

The Frankfurt Foundation for the Blind and Visually Impaired enables blind and visually impaired individuals from the greater Frankfurt am Main area to receive needs-based training in digital applications and Braille. In individual or small group sessions, fundamental Office programs, internet, email, and smartphone functions are taught, and the use of assistive devices such as screen readers, magnification software, and Braille displays is practiced. Additionally, experts offer practical courses in Braille (both full and contracted), including introductory and advanced courses as well as computer Braille. The modular learning units can be flexibly combined and individually tailored to the participants' prior knowledge and needs. Through close support and small groups, the foundation creates a motivating environment for sustainable learning success and provides ongoing assistance in applying skills in everyday life and work.

This continuously available grant program is aimed at private individuals with verified blindness or visual impairment who wish to strengthen their digital skills and learn Braille. The objective of the funding is to reduce information and communication barriers and to increase independence in private and professional contexts. All interested parties can register regardless of deadlines and benefit from professional support by experienced instructors.
