Funding objective
The objective of the measure is to create employment in long-term sustainable, green business sectors. In addition to investments and consulting services, innovation hubs are supported within this area of action. These hubs facilitate cooperation between start-ups and established companies. Furthermore, investment will be made in raising awareness in schools and educational institutions. The goal is to achieve a higher rate of business start-ups among future generations.

Description
Within the framework of Measure 6.1 of the IBW/ERDF & JTF 2021-2027 program, the funding initiative in Vienna specifically supports green start-ups through grants for investments, consulting, and innovation hub services. The goal is to create employment in long-term sustainable, ecological business sectors and to promote cooperation between start-ups and established companies. A special focus is placed on raising awareness in schools and educational institutions to embed a sustainable entrepreneurial culture in future generations and to increase the start-up rate in the future.
The funding – endowed with a total volume of €13.005 million – is aimed at founders, young companies, and innovation hubs based in Vienna that want to be active in the fields of business start-up, consulting & corporate financing, training & further education, energy efficiency & climate protection. Investments in climate-relevant technologies as well as professional coaching and training offers are supported. Applications can be submitted until 31.12.2029; the applicable funding requirements can be found in the current calls for proposals.
