Description
The ERDF and JTF program in the state of Brandenburg provides approximately €1.6 billion from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Just Transition Fund (JTF) during the 2021–2027 funding period. Through a central information and entry portal, companies, public institutions, and educational establishments are comprehensively informed about funding opportunities aimed at strengthening innovation capacity, competitiveness, the energy transition, climate protection, sustainable urban development, and structural change. Applications can be submitted continuously until December 31, 2027, with co-financing covering 60% to 70% of eligible expenses. The funds may be used for investment costs, research and development, digitalization, and energy efficiency measures.
Eligible for funding are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), municipalities, and research institutions located in Brandenburg. A prerequisite is that the project aligns with the ERDF/JTF priorities, particularly in the areas of business financing, start-ups, digitalization, renewable energies, and rural development. Selection criteria include the degree of innovation, contribution to climate neutrality, economic sustainability, and support for structural change. The program thus offers an equal-opportunity platform to transform visions into concrete projects and to strengthen regional cohesion.
