Description

Within the framework of the EAGF funding program 2023–2027, a uniform basic payment is available for traditional, extensive alpine pasture areas throughout Austria. The measure aims to stabilize sustainable agricultural incomes and to cushion income disparities between the agricultural sector and the rest of the economy. Eligible for funding are private individuals, companies, and public institutions that operate eligible alpine pasture areas and comply with the requirements of the Market Regulation Act 2021. Applications are submitted via the Digital Funding Platform (DFP) of Agrarmarkt Austria, with a valid registration being a prerequisite. For the funding period from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2027, operators of traditional alpine pastures can apply annually for a basic payment.

The income support serves to reduce fluctuations and raise the level of agricultural income. Interested farms submit the completed application form via the AMA-DFP and attach evidence of the land register as well as a current farm certificate. The annual application deadline corresponds to the funding period, so payments are made within the specified timeframe. Valid evidence includes a continuously maintained land register and the formal farm certificate. The funding strengthens both small and large alpine farming operations equally, while also contributing to the preservation of extensive grassland use and the protection of alpine biodiversity. The reference number 1066653 serves to uniquely identify the measure in the transparency portal. Further information on the application process and funding requirements can be found on the AMA-DFP.
