Description

The nationwide initiative of the Achtung! Kinderseele Foundation promotes the mental health of children aged three to seven in daycare centers and of trainees through voluntary engagement by specialists in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy. As volunteer daycare mentors, participants prepare informational evenings, advise educators and parents, and, if necessary, indicate appropriate support pathways. Within the framework of the "Masters of Tomorrow" program, speakers conduct online seminars for trainers and training supervisors to recognize early warning signs of psychological stress and to convey action-oriented preventive measures. Membership in one of the professional societies DGKJP, BAG, or BKJPP is a prerequisite for participation; registration is possible at any time.

The initiative relies on networking and continuous further training: volunteers receive prepared presentation drafts, extensive informational materials, and organizational support for conducting their events. Through regular exchange within the network, newly gained insights and experiences can be immediately integrated into practice. Specialists thus make a valuable contribution to strengthening social cohesion and sustainably promote the well-being of young people. Interested specialists can register continuously and become active as daycare mentors or speakers to make a preventive and effective contribution to the mental health of children, adolescents, and trainees.
