Description
The Volunteer Fund Upper Austria supports associations and non-profit limited liability companies based in Upper Austria in the implementation of innovative projects that ensure and further develop voluntary engagement in the long term. Funding is provided for measures to recruit and retain volunteers, target group-specific offers (such as for youth or seniors), as well as experimental approaches like the use of artificial intelligence to strengthen community life. Grants of up to 3,000 euros per project can be awarded, exclusively for non-profit applications with project start from January 1, 2026.
The selection is based on the level of innovation, sustainability, and contribution to the permanent safeguarding of volunteer work in the region. Only interest groups, associations, or non-profit organizations based in Upper Austria that implement projects to enhance the attractiveness of voluntary activities are eligible to apply. To apply, the application form, guidelines, regulations, and, after project completion, a proof of use must be submitted. The funding procedure is free of charge and is handled via the Volunteer Service Office at the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government. With this fund, the State of Upper Austria offers targeted support to sustainably strengthen voluntary engagement in all regions of Upper Austria.
