Description

One-time funding from the Bürgerstiftung Ratzeburg supports diverse initiatives in the Ratzeburg area and surroundings that align with the foundation’s objectives. Projects from the fields of sports, child and youth welfare, elderly care, art, culture and monument preservation, as well as environmental, nature, and animal protection, are funded. Additionally, charitable purposes in accordance with § 53 AO are considered. Private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, associations, educational and public institutions may apply for a grant, provided the project has a clear regional connection and follows the statutory funding goals. The Bürgerstiftung’s commitment aims to create sustainable impulses for the common good of the local community and to realize innovative project ideas.

Submissions are reviewed twice a year – in spring and late autumn – by the One-time Funding Working Group. In the evaluation, adherence to the foundation’s objectives, regional relevance, and the provision of public relations materials in text and image play a central role. The application must include a fully completed funding application, an excerpt from the applicant’s own statutes, and suitable public relations materials. All documents are collected and decisions are made within the respective deadline rounds. Funded projects commit to providing results and impressions for the Bürgerstiftung’s public relations work. This procedure ensures transparent allocation of funds and enables long-term planning security for all parties involved who wish to contribute to the common good in Ratzeburg and its surroundings.
