Description

The Louis Leitz Foundation supports exemplary educational and training initiatives in Baden-Württemberg with smaller one-time grants, offered in the Stuttgart region or at selected additional locations. Non-profit organizations and educational institutions can submit applications on an ongoing basis to support disadvantaged children, adolescents, and young adults – including refugees and young people with a migration background – in their educational pathways. The aim of the funding is to improve access to school-based and vocational education and training as well as to strengthen social participation and democratic engagement. Thematically, the one-time funding covers the areas of education, vocational training, children and youth, work and social affairs, as well as projects promoting social cohesion and democracy.

The grants are awarded as subsidies and are characterized by their exemplary nature, high sustainability, and potential for multiplication. A prerequisite for funding is a location in the Stuttgart region or at one of the selected sites, as well as a demonstrably exemplary concept for educational or training offerings. Selection is based on the criteria of exemplarity, long-term impact, and dissemination potential. Complementing the foundation’s multi-year partnership projects, synergetic effects arise that provide a tangible impetus for the further development of innovative models. Interested institutions are invited to submit their project ideas at any time and thereby contribute to equal opportunities and social cohesion.
