Description

The individual case assistance of the Kartei der Not Foundation supports privately operated social counseling centers nationwide in financially securing people in involuntary existential distress. Through unbureaucratic grants, basic needs are specifically ensured when urgent living expenses, urgent rent arrears, or medically necessary costs cannot be covered otherwise. The funding is aimed at individuals who have fallen into existential threat due to illness, disability, poverty, or acute crisis situations and are accompanied by a qualified social counseling center. The decisive criterion for approval is the severity of the submitted emergency in order to provide targeted help where no short-term stabilization would otherwise be possible.

An application for funding can be submitted at any time and requires the submission of a completed questionnaire, a current social report, and appropriate evidence of the emergency. The application documents must be submitted through a social counseling center that reviews the individual case and documents the necessity of the assistance. Through this cooperative process between applicants and professionals, the individual case assistance ensures tailored support that provides quick help while keeping the administrative burden manageable for all parties involved.
