Description

The individual funding for people with autism spectrum disorders in Tyrol is aimed at private applicants and offers continuously available financial support in the form of a grant. The goal of the benefit, granted for up to five years, is the individual development of cognitive, linguistic, psychological, and social skills in a one-on-one setting. Children and adolescents up to 18 years of age with autism spectrum disorders can sustainably strengthen their participation in social life through needs-oriented support. The funding is based on the principles of resource orientation, empowerment, and self-determination, as well as the quality standards of the Tyrolean Participation Act.

Requirements for application are proof of a disability according to § 3 lit. a TTHG, Austrian citizenship or equivalence, main residence in Tyrol, participation in the application process, and a realistic prospect of improved participation. The application must include a completed form, a medical report as proof of disability, registration certificate, and proof of citizenship or equivalence. Applications can be submitted at any time; benefits can commence no earlier than the month of application submission. With the funding, legal representatives have the opportunity to define and evaluate individual support goals together with qualified service providers. Interested families and young people benefit from a transparent procedure and comprehensive support in the application and implementation of the measure.
