Description
The individual funding by the Ulrich-Spörel Foundation supports musically committed children and adolescents up to the age of 20 residing in Wiesbaden and the surrounding area. Funding is provided for tuition and course fees, competition entry fees, rental and loan fees for instruments, as well as individual projects, with a grant of up to €2,000 per year and a funding rate of 80%. Applications can be submitted continuously; for project proposals, submission is required at least six months prior to the planned implementation date. The funding period is a maximum of twelve months, with follow-up applications possible only after this period has elapsed.
Requirements for funding include above-average commitment to musical education, a professional pedagogical assessment from the instructor, audio or video recordings as references, and parental consent for minors. Only costs directly serving the funding purpose are considered; investment grants for instrument purchases, subsidies to sponsoring institutions, and ongoing personnel or rental costs are excluded. Selection is based on the defined evaluation criteria of commitment, assessment, and reference material. Required documents include the completed application form, assessment, audio/video recordings, parental consent, and a cost-financing plan. By accurately presenting their musical development and transparently itemizing planned expenses, young talents can maximize their chances of receiving financial support to further develop their musical skills.
