Description
Within the framework of ELER 2023–2027, agricultural and forestry business consulting is promoted throughout Austria to provide high-quality, independent, and target-group-oriented advice for operators. Funding is granted to consulting providers who have a certified quality management system (e.g., ISO 9001) with electronic performance recording and can demonstrate the public-law or trade-law authorization for consulting activities. The program supports professionally and methodically-didactically qualified consultants whose services are provided by appropriately trained experts at a minimum of 50% at the start of the funding period from 2024 and at least 75% from 2025 onwards. The goal is to assist agricultural and forestry enterprises with questions regarding business management, investment planning, and sustainable management in all federal states from Burgenland to Vorarlberg.
The funding is provided in the form of a grant towards personnel costs (unit cost rate of €54.57 per consulting hour) with a funding rate between 80% and 100%. Eligible applicants are companies that ensure a comprehensive, nationwide consulting offer and can demonstrate at least 32 teaching units of methodical-didactic further training. The selection decision is based on the fulfillment of funding requirements as well as a points system according to defined selection criteria. Applications can be submitted from 01.01.2024 until 31.12.2027. This program makes a decisive contribution to strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of rural enterprises and advancing innovative consulting products in agriculture and forestry.
