Description
The ELER funding for nature conservation in Lower Austria supports projects aimed at preserving, restoring, and improving the natural heritage during the period 2023–2027. With a total budget of €22.406 million, investments are promoted in the expansion and maintenance of natural habitats, cooperation in nature conservation, as well as comprehensive knowledge transfer measures. The objective is the implementation of the nature conservation measures defined in the CAP Strategic Plan 2023–2027 to sustainably strengthen biodiversity and landscape quality. Eligible for funding are companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions based or operating in Lower Austria.
Funding is provided, among other things, for investment costs related to the restoration of natural habitats, expenses for training and advisory services, as well as the preparation of nature conservation plans and studies. Applicants such as farmers, environmental and climate protectors, or municipal authorities benefit from a continuous submission process until December 31, 2027. A prerequisite for approval is compliance with the requirements of the CAP Strategic Plan. By combining practical investments with targeted knowledge transfer, this funding instrument makes an important contribution to the preservation of biological diversity and the strengthening of nature conservation expertise in Lower Austria.
