Description

The EAFRD program "Cooperation" supports cooperative projects between actors from agriculture and forestry and related sectors in all nine federal states as well as Vienna. The aim is to establish or expand joint management, innovation, and public relations activities. Cooperation networks must consist of at least two partners, such as natural or legal persons, cooperatives, or associations of persons. Both newly established cooperations and existing alliances with new work packages are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted continuously until the end of 2027, with a project duration of up to 48 months, including the option for extension following a positive interim evaluation.

Eligible costs include personnel and management expenses, measures for joint resource use, IT infrastructure, studies and concept development, as well as public relations activities including PR, conferences, workshops, and excursions. Marketing and sales promotion measures are also considered eligible expenses. The funding rate is 80%, in exceptional cases up to 100%. Projects exclusively involving research institutions or those with an aquaculture and fishery product share exceeding 10% are excluded. Selection is point-based by a committee, with mandatory proof of written cooperation agreements and concrete project objectives. For the application, a project description, cooperation agreement, financing plan, and CVs of the coordinating partners are required. The program makes a significant contribution to strengthening rural development structures and promotes innovation, resource efficiency, as well as environmental and climate protection in rural areas.
