Description

The ELER/PFEIL funding in the Lower Saxony region specifically supports construction measures in rural areas and thus makes an important contribution to the development and strengthening of agricultural and forestry land as well as village development projects. Funding is provided, among other things, for the expansion and widening of rural roads, necessary bridge constructions, and compensatory and replacement measures in nature conservation. Sidewalk expansions and basic infrastructure work in village communities are also included. As a grant, the program supports private landowners, agricultural and forestry enterprises, as well as municipalities and communities that wish to make their rural structures future-proof. The requested measures must be integrated into the ELER or PFEIL funding statutes and are managed and processed by the responsible municipality.

For a successful application, the following requirements must be met: The measure must be located in a designated rural area, approval and administrative processing are carried out through the municipality, and the project idea must be incorporated into the ELER or PFEIL funding guidelines. Eligible expenses include construction costs for road and street construction, compensatory and replacement measures in nature conservation, as well as sidewalk expansion and other infrastructure work. Required documents are a fully completed funding application, a current site plan, and a detailed cost estimate. Since applications can be submitted continuously to the city administration, potential participants have a flexible opportunity to implement their projects promptly. Interested parties can obtain further information and support directly from the municipal funding office.
