Parents' Foundation Sonnenhof

The Sonnenhof Parents' Foundation supports people with disabilities in the Baden-Württemberg region who live or are cared for at Diakoneo Sonnenhof Schwäbisch Hall. As a dependent foundation under the joint management of relatives, it provides individual grants for projects and measures that would otherwise not be feasible. The aim is to enable participation and strengthen personal development. With unbureaucratic funding, both small and larger initiatives in residential groups and leisure activities are implemented quickly. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations that can demonstrate the residents' needs and present an urgent request.

Grants can be applied for play equipment, shading, leisure and sports equipment, as well as other aids. The urgency of the need and the individual requirements of the users are decisive. Applications are accepted continuously; there are no deadlines or waiting lists. This timely process results in hardly any delays, allowing needs to be met at short notice—whether it is a new garden play device, a sun sail for the terrace, or special equipment for leisure activities. The offer is equally aimed at residents and their relatives to jointly build bridges to a self-determined and meaningful everyday life and to sustainably enrich the community at Diakoneo Sonnenhof.
