Description

The Empowerment Program Women* & Flight of filia.die frauenstiftung supports grassroots organizations of refugee women* and LBTIQ+ as well as their activists nationwide. With a focus on intersectional feminism, the program supports initiatives that create safe spaces, combat gender-based violence, and expand political participation. Funding is provided as a grant and is exclusively aimed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, and educational institutions that work by and for refugee women* and LBTIQ+. Through the flexible funding structure, both established projects and newly founded groups have the opportunity to strengthen their structures in the long term and expand their commitment to social cohesion and democracy.

Interested groups can submit applications at any time, as the Empowerment Program offers ongoing funding opportunities without fixed deadlines. A prerequisite is proof of non-profit status or registered association status as well as a clear intersectional-feminist orientation. Refugee women* and LBTIQ+ individuals as well as their grassroots organizations and activists benefit from support in creating protected spaces, important capacity-building measures, and the expansion of networks. The grant not only provides financial resources but also strengthens the visibility and political voice of the participants. The program makes a valuable contribution to promoting diversity, equal opportunities, and sustainable empowerment in Germany.
