Description
The Bavarian funding program "Energy Concepts and Municipal Energy Usage Plans" supports public institutions in the development and updating of integrative energy concepts as well as energy usage plans at the municipal level. The goal is to increase energy efficiency in cities, municipalities, and districts, expand the share of renewable energies locally, and thereby actively contribute to achieving municipal climate protection targets. Continuous application submission allows for flexible project planning – submissions can be made at any time by the municipality or corresponding municipal companies. A prerequisite is the location or place of activity in Bavaria to meaningfully integrate the funding into regional development.
Funding is provided, among other things, for expert and planning services, tailored analyses of existing energy structures, as well as the concrete development of energy concepts and usage plans. Eligible expenses include costs for external experts, project descriptions, and detailed cost estimates. For the application, a completed application form, a well-founded project description, and a comprehensible cost estimate are required. The grant is awarded as a non-repayable subsidy by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, supervised by the project sponsor Bayern of Bayern Innovativ GmbH. This body supports participants from application submission through to successful completion and ensures competent advice throughout the entire funding process. With this program, municipalities in Bavaria can actively and sustainably shape their energy future.
