Description
The funding program "Energy Saving Measures for Municipalities" supports Carinthian municipalities as well as legal entities with majority municipal ownership in inter-municipal projects to promote investments in renewable energies and measures to increase energy efficiency in the public sector. In particular, investments in LED street and indoor lighting, window replacements, insulation measures, and the installation of modern heating systems in publicly used buildings are funded. The goal is to strengthen regional value creation through financial grants, sustainably reduce CO₂ emissions, and establish forward-looking technologies in the municipal sector. A prerequisite for approval is the location or activity within a Carinthian municipality and – in the case of inter-municipal projects – a legal entity with majority municipal ownership.
