Shaping the World with Commitment

Shaping the World Through Commitment offers continuous nationwide funding in the form of grants for development policy engagement. Individuals, civil society organizations, public institutions, start-ups, as well as interest groups and associations can apply across a wide range of topics – from educational and training initiatives to agriculture and rural development, as well as projects promoting democratic cohesion and sustainability. The goal is to strengthen global interconnections and promote sustainable development both in Germany and worldwide. Funding, consulting, and networking are provided by Engagement Global on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Participants receive individual guidance and expert support from the initial idea through to the successful implementation of their initiatives.

Eligible for funding are all those based or active in Germany who wish to implement a development policy project. Applications can be submitted at any time without fixed deadlines. The funding requirements include concrete development policy engagement as well as project work based in Germany. Through tailored consulting and access to an extensive network, the opportunity arises to effectively anchor ideas and initiatives and to achieve long-term societal change. The continuous funding guideline enables flexible project planning and financing, allowing a diverse range of actors to actively commit to global justice and sustainable development.
