Eligible for support are persons with primary residence in Carinthia who have been caring for a close relative in care level 3 (at least level 2 in the case of dementia) for at least six months and who provide at least half of the care effort themselves. A prerequisite is proof in accordance with §§ 1–3 of the guideline on the processing of short-term care as well as a current approval of the care facility.
