To this end, we support committed individuals in finding and successfully implementing innovative solutions to current socio-political challenges. Discretionary funds are awarded to support and promote activities in the field of sustainable development.

Description
The Office for Voluntary Engagement and Participation of the State of Vorarlberg sees itself as an initiator and interface for sustainable development processes. The discretionary funds in the area of sustainable development support innovative approaches in education for sustainable development as well as initial and further training. Eligible for funding are private individuals, interest groups and other associations, non-profit organizations, as well as public institutions that independently implement forward-looking projects in Vorarlberg. The funding instrument addresses current socio-political challenges and enables committed actors to develop creative solution models and anchor them sustainably. Support is provided in the form of grants and is continuously granted until the budget is exhausted.
A prerequisite for approval is compliance with the general funding guidelines of the State of Vorarlberg as well as close coordination with the Office for Voluntary Engagement and Participation. The funded activities should strengthen self-organization, empowerment, and sustainability in order to create long-term added value for the region. Applications can be submitted continuously since 01.01.2013, as long as funds are available. This funding offer is particularly aimed at initiatives, municipalities, and civil society actors in the state who wish to contribute to sustainable development with future-oriented projects.
