Description

Ernst-Frank Sponsorship Award of the Max Grünebaum Foundation honors outstanding achievements by early-career researchers at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg. In memory of Ernst Frank, co-owner of the historic cloth factories and son-in-law of the foundation’s founder Max Grünebaum, a one-year scholarship for research work in the United Kingdom is awarded. The program aims to recognize excellent students and doctoral candidates with exceptionally high academic performance and to promote their international networking as well as scientific mobility.

Eligible to participate are students and doctoral candidates of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg who are nominated by their supervising chair or the responsible dean’s office. Both academic results and recommendation letters from the chair or dean committees are evaluated. Continuous submission without fixed deadlines allows for flexible application. After collection and preselection of proposals by the presidential committee, the foundation’s board of trustees decides on the final award. The Ernst-Frank Sponsorship Award offers promising early-career researchers the opportunity to further develop their research profile in an international environment.
