Construction of Condominium Units - Interest Subsidies

Construction of Condominiums – Interest Subsidies is aimed at private builders and non-profit organizations in Upper Austria who wish to create living space in the form of condominiums. Within the framework of this open-ended funding program, the State of Upper Austria grants a subsidy for interest payments on mortgage loans, provided that minimum construction and energy efficiency requirements are met. Applications can be submitted at any time before the start of construction, enabling timely planning and financing. The goal is to strengthen housing construction and urban development in the region.

Applicants benefit from direct support in the realization of new construction projects in the areas of housing construction & modernization as well as infrastructure & urban development. Only interest payments on mortgage loans related to the construction of condominiums are eligible for funding. Prerequisites include a construction project within Upper Austria and application submission prior to the start of construction. For the application, the completed condominium application form, the condominium guidelines, and the billing form are required. The Housing Promotion Department at the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government, Directorate of Social Affairs and Health, provides comprehensive advice to project sponsors and decides on the funding commitment in close coordination with specialist agencies such as the Upper Austrian Energy Saving Association. This funding makes a significant contribution to the creation of affordable homeownership and supports sustainable construction projects in Upper Austria.
