Description
The funding initiative is aimed at non-profit housing associations as well as commercial developers headquartered in Upper Austria and supports the construction of condominiums. Through interest subsidies according to the Upper Austrian Condominium Regulation 2019, the State of Upper Austria contributes to strengthening housing construction and sustainable urban development in the region. Applications can be submitted continuously since 07.01.2014, allowing project planning to be flexibly adapted to the requirements of public and private developers. Prerequisites for funding include, among others, proof of minimum technical and energy standards, a free-of-encumbrance plot of land, and construction commencement only after the funding commitment has been granted.
A basic subsidy of €10,000 is provided per newly constructed apartment. Construction projects are only funded if the applicants hold ownership or building rights over the land and meet all energy requirements according to OIB Guideline 6. For the application, the form templates "Apartment Listing (SGD-Wo/E-45a)" and "Cost Summary for Condominiums (SGD-Wo/E-45b)" are required. Processing is carried out via an online procedure or classically via form at the Housing Promotion Department of the Upper Austrian State Government. Since the funds are not budgeted, there is permanent availability, allowing construction projects to start at any time. The combination of interest subsidies and mortgage loans offers long-term planning security and relieves developers as well as future owners during the critical construction and financing phases.
