Adult Education and Lifelong Learning

The initiative in Burgenland strengthens adult education and lifelong learning through targeted educational counseling, provider-independent educational information, and tailored educational marketing. Public institutions and non-profit organizations receive grants for the implementation of the initiative until December 31, 2030. The focus is on the two project components basic education and catching up on educational qualifications, taking into account regional particularities as well as accessibility. Additionally, supportive studies and analyses are funded to ensure the continuous development of the measures and to anchor the importance of acquiring and deepening skills in public awareness.

Projects that primarily reach multipliers, educationally disadvantaged individuals, low-qualified persons, school dropouts, people with basic educational needs, migrants, and the unemployed are supported. Selection criteria include the contribution to raising awareness for further education and the reduction of regional disparities. The grant creates a sustainable network of experts and counseling services that enables low-threshold access and strengthens awareness of the value of education. The program not only promotes individual qualification but also contributes to social participation and regional development in Burgenland.
