ESaK Foreign Scholarships of the BFS/ESaK Foundation

The BFS/ESaK Foundation supports students and graduates in refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation technology with its international scholarships for academic or research-related stays outside Germany. Eligible for funding are private individuals with a completed degree or current proof of study within the framework of the European Study Academy Refrigeration-Air Conditioning-Ventilation (ESaK). The aim of the funding is to deepen professional competencies, build international networks, and bring innovative impulses back to the German refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation industry. Applications can be submitted at any time – there are no fixed application deadlines, as the awards are made annually.

Scholarships are granted as a contribution towards the costs of the stay abroad and include a lump sum of up to €2,000 per person. Only projects at recognized universities or research institutions that offer a clear added value for individual qualification and at the same time for the further development of the industry are supported. Selection is based on the professional relevance of the project as well as the academic achievements of the applicants. By providing the scholarships, the foundation makes an important contribution to international mobility and strengthens the innovative capacity of young experts in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology.
