Description
In Tyrol, the ESF+ Continuing Education Bonus special program (2021–2027) specifically promotes the professional upskilling of employees and self-employed persons at risk of poverty. Eligible for funding are employees, freelance service providers, as well as one-person enterprises with residence, employment, or company headquarters in Tyrol, whose monthly household income does not exceed specified limits. Up to 90% of the costs for vocational training measures and examination fees are covered, up to a maximum of €3,000 per person. Funding is provided, among others, for completing vocational qualifications, retraining, job-related initial and further training, as well as measures for the recognition of foreign qualifications. This offer enhances employability and supports social integration.
For a funding commitment, a signed education plan from a recognized, provider-neutral educational counseling service as well as proof of employment status (e.g., employer confirmation, insurance data excerpt, or trade license) are required. Additionally, the original ESF master data sheet, a price quote for course and examination fees, and proof of other funding must be submitted. Applications must be submitted electronically at least four weeks before the start of the training measure and signed in paper form at the office of the Tyrolean State Government. The program is open until December 31, 2029, offering Tyroleans at risk of poverty an attractive opportunity to advance professionally and succeed in the labor market in the long term.
