Description

ESF Employee Transfer NRW: This initiative focuses on placing employees whose jobs are at risk due to operational changes into new social security-contributing employment relationships. It supports companies with fewer than 250 employees (full-time equivalents) that have concluded a social transfer plan and are based in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to the tax clearance certificate, the funding requirements include the approval of the ministry responsible for labor and the economic viability of the applying company. The funding is provided as a grant with a funding rate of 80% and can amount to up to €2,500 per supported person. Project-specific costs include personnel expenses for consulting and accompanying activities in transfer companies. The duration is a maximum of twelve months, during which transfer consultants and transfer agencies offer individual skills assessments, qualification, trial work, and application coaching. The goal is to ensure immediate integration into the labor market and achieve sustainable placement without periods of unemployment.

The process is divided into four coordinated phases: First, a life-world assessment is conducted to identify personal challenges and resources. Building on this, transfer consultants develop individual professional perspectives together with the participants. Next, tailored qualifications or trial work in new companies take place. In the final step, transfer consulting actively supports the entry into the new employment relationship. The decision on the application is made by the responsible district government before the start of the transfer measure, which is also responsible for fund disbursement and verification of documentation. Regional agencies and G.I.B. mbH are available as contact points to support companies and employees at every step. Thus, the ESF Employee Transfer combines professional expertise with social security, thereby sustainably strengthening employability in North Rhine-Westphalia.
